Certified Senior Fitness Instructor | Offering Free Chair & Balance Exercises via Zoom
I am Suzann, an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Group Fitness Instructor. I have been a volunteer instructor for seniors for over 10 years. I hold a Ph.D. in Holistic Nutrition - so I am interested in studying how exercise and nutrition influence longevity. I look forward to meeting with you & exercising.
Before joining our senior exercise classes via Zoom, all participants are required to complete a health evaluation to address specific mobility needs. This ensures your safety and helps me to tailor the class to your needs. Please consult with your healthcare provider and let's discuss your needs prior to your first session. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I look forward to helping you stay active and healthy!
Strength training is important for seniors since it helps participants to maintain muscle mass while increasing bone density. The benefits of strength training include improved physical function, improved body composition, and mobility.
The goals of balance exercises are to reduce your risk of falls and improve your range of motion. We work on healthy foot function, standing and walking balance exercises, and precise movement of muscles.
Seated chair workouts are effective to strengthen your lower back, leg muscles, abs, and gluts. These workouts increase both mobility and flexibility. You may use most types of chairs (if they are stable) and where your feet touch the floor comfortably.
At Old School Aerobics, I believe that fitness should be accessible to everyone. That's why I'm dedicated to providing free and effective workout programs that can fit into anyone's lifestyle.
I am an experienced and certified trainer who is passionate about helping my clients achieve their fitness goals. I am knowledgeable, supportive, and committed to providing personalized attention to each and every client.
